5 Songs that give me good nostalgia

January 6, 2018

Hey Inquisitive writers! So today I rounded up some songs that give me good memories of the past, for some reason. I have done this in the past, but instead with songs that get me on a deeper level. Hope you enjoy them!

1. Sweet Escape – Gwen Stefani

Still can’t believe this song was released 11 12 years ago! I remember driving to the beach a lot over the summer, and hearing this song play on the radio a lot. I would always associate going to the beach with this song. The beat of the song relaxes me for some reason.

2. Dynamite – Taio Cruz

This song always pumps me up! The message of the song is so simple: just party and have fun. Whenever I drove to swim at an indoor pool I went to, I’d always play this song in the car. I still have the album “Rokstarr” from 2010!

3. Paramore – Still into you

I love this song so much! It’s one of my favorite songs from Paramore. Even though it’s about love and all, it reminds me of the summer. Even the song title is “Still into you”, which for me means that summer will also be my favorite season, even though I have experienced it many many times. The music video has many vibrant colors and reminds me of the beautiful season. I love the season so much that I wrote a poem about it and posted it in the winter.

4. Demi Lovato – Neon Lights

Baby when they look up at the sky, we’ll be shooting stars just passing by..

Ugh this song is so energetic and inspiring to me! Demi’s vocals in this are spectacular This song also reminds me of the summer because of the neon lights and shooting stars, which reminds me of Fourth of July in America πŸŽ‰Β πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

5. Kungs vs. Cookin’ on 3 Burners – This girl

You may know this song, but not the name. I was determinedly typing the lyrics of this song, desperate to find it. It was only released last year two years ago. The message of this song is basically that you can’t buy love and that it must come from the heart. I also like the way it is sung and the beat of it. Happy memories are attached to this song because when I visited Serbia in the spring this year, I visited my cousins (I know you’re reading this!), and we danced to this song for fun, and now I associate that song with them.

**BTW I wrote a travel post on Serbia last summer if you are interested in learning about the country from where I come from**

Have you heard of these songs? Do you like listening to them? Are good or bad memories associated with them?

  1. Sweet Escape! I haven’t listened to that in so long, but I absolutely loved it! I loved singing along to that really fast bit just before the chorus haha πŸ˜€
